Chant for Split Rock Sweetwater Camp
Dublin Core
Title
Chant for Split Rock Sweetwater Camp
Description
On December 4, 2016, the Raíces crew headed to the Split Rock Sweetwater Prayer Camp on the Ramapough Lenape sacred prayer grounds in Mahwah, NJ for an open and public Tobacco Ceremony. The prayer ceremony was held in solidarity with Standing Rock. It is only the beginning in a new kind of coming together, sharing, and standing in solidarity. It was beautiful to see people from many walks of life coming together to pray and make a statement about the future of our earth, its environment and the coming generations. This is a short clip of Buddhist chants before the ceremony.
