At Plenitud, planting is done in polycultures, with multiple types of plants interspersed and supporting one another, rather than monoculture, with just one crop planted in rows. In a small section of any garden bed, there could be a mix of perennial fruits, annual vegetables, flowers, herbs, and nitrogen fixers like leguminous vines or other cover crops.
