Description
Logo for the now defunct Rawkus Records 50 collective.
Excerpt from the Roots Music Exhibit Timeline:
"Around this same time, my music caught the attention of one my favorite record labels, Rawkus Records. I would end up being part of their resurgence as part of the Rawkus 50 collective. Rawkus 50 featured 50 signees releasing digital albums, with nationwide and international promotion. Rawkus released "Hunger Strike" digitally. Growing up as a fan of Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Pharoahe Monch, and more, this was a supremely high honor."
